A manual gearbox is mechanically simpler and has no torque converter, valve body or mechatronics. Most failures involve synchros, bearings, seals and clutch components.
How often should manual transmission oil be changed?
Usually every 60,000 to 80,000 km, depending on use and manufacturer guidance.
Can I keep driving if the gearbox crunches?
It is not recommended. Crunching means the synchronizer is no longer doing its job and further driving can damage gears and bearings.
